October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a time to bring attention to preventing and treating breast cancer as well as supporting breast cancer patients and survivors. We are proud to help survivors with FREE removal of their radiation marks ALL YEAR LONG.  Using the PicoSure laser,the world’s first picosecond aesthetic laser for tattoo removal, Dr. Desjarlais can offer breast cancer survivors a chance to erase the past with just a few treatments.

When breast cancer patients receive radiation treatment a small blue or black tattoo is applied on their skin to accurately aim the radiation on the affected area.  Survivors who have undergone radiation therapy refer to this as a ‘bull’s eye’ and after treatment they feel it is a painful reminder of a hard time in their lives. Others simply do not like having visible ink on their body. Removing that mark can be the final step to their full recovery.

Those who are interested in taking part in this special offer will need to provide a letter of permission from their radiation oncologist. This is required for the removal of radiation dots at our office. Survivors have a team of experts helping them through their battle and Dr. Desjarlais wants to be a part of this team to make the best decision for each and every patient.
